IE8 available today!
IE8, the latest version of Internet Explorer will be released today for download. This latest version of IE promises to be easier, faster and more secure than ‘ever’. Some of the features of the new browser are pretty neat, although I am all but certain there are plenty of extensions available for Firefox that will do the same thing. What should you know about IE8?
- Accelerators – promise to make common tasks like map searching easier by needing less clicks
- InPrivate Browsing – promise to let you surf in private [no history recorded for the session]
- Web Slices – promise to let us view snippets of web pages instead of having to manually go back and check for updates
- Search suggestions – promises to provide a better search experience giving results from your favorite providers and history
- SmartScreen Filter – promise to help filter “deceptive and malicious websites”
