Poor Kaspersky
Kaspersky Security, an anti-virus software company has been the victim of a slight security breach. Their website was hacked and it left their customer database exposed for over a week. how embarassing would that be? They have recently been getting on banking companies saying they need to be more secure with their own websites… and now this.
Apparently no customer information was accessed during the breach, but it still makes us wonder. The hackers did their damage using an SQL injection technique that led them into the database. The database kept everything from activation codes to a list of known bugs under lock and key – rrrright!
It looks like the hack was done on their newly launched website; the company claims that no other attacks have been carried out thus far.
