There are many different ways to install flash on Ubuntu 8.04.1, but below I will explain how I got it installed [& working] in under 5mins. Lets assume that you have your PC booted up and logged in…

1. Navigate to the top panel and click on System>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager
2. Click the search button on the right side
3. Type flash-nonfree
4. Check the install button on the appropriate package [view description to verify]
5. Close the package manager window
6. Launch and test in Firefox
7. You are all set – enjoy!
