The war is almost over
Well, if you haven’t already heard…
The war between Blu-ray and HD DVD is soon coming to an end… hopefully. I remember hearing rumors that Blu-ray had taken the lead because some of the major motion pictures backed Sony on their voyage to victory, and now the effects of those backings seem to be sprouting up all over the place. Best Buy has announced that they are going to recommend Blu-ray over HD DVD players, and while they will continue to sell HD DVDs, they will not feature them in their ADs. One company that I do support[sorry Best Buy], Netflix, has also made their final decision in favor of the Blu-ray Disc type, and says that by the end of the year they will no longer offer HD DVDs to their customers.
I bet Sony is out celebrating this little victory…
