Installing Flock on Ubuntu 9.10
As you all know Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala was released today. I upgraded my beta release to the latest and greatest and really wanted to install the Flock Web Browser. I have used Flock before on Windows and really liked it, and figured if I want to lose Microsoft all together I need to figure out how to install it. After searching through Forums for a while and not getting anywhere following other instructions step-by-step, I decided to make my own guide on getting Flock installed on your Ubuntu PC. Its easy enough to do and no, I am not a ...
Picasa 3.5
I have been using Google Picasa off and on for some time now; Having just recently upgraded my version to 3.5... I was surprised to find a new addition. New in Picasa 3.5 is name tags, where picasa scans all your photos, identifies the ones with faces and groups similar faces together. In my testing this new feature worked rather well... finding faces in pictures that are half cut off and even out of focus. If Picasa adds photos into a group and it isn't too sure about the match, it will ask you to verify its the same person. My ...

Are you stuck with a legacy USB Drive? Whether or not you have an extra flash drive lying around, you could be putting it to better use. If you use your USB flash drive daily then why not make it automatically lock and unlock your PC? You can do it for free and rather simply using some very creative software. Predator uses your flash drive as a key by writing a key file to it, and then constantly verifying that it still exists. If you remove the drive it will dim your monitors and hide all of your applications. As I said before ...
